Eyelid Surgery

Dr. Gary Borodic’s surgical practice focuses on many aspects of eyelid and anterior segment intra-ocular surgery. His training was conducted at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary originally under the direction of Dr. Charles Beyer, MD, cofounder of the American Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Society.  Dr. Borodic remained to manage Dr. Beyer’s practice after his retirement.

Dr. Borodic has since served as director of Boston University Oculoplastics division for 7 years, directed the eye trauma service at Mass Eye and Ear Infirmary for several years, and has authored one textbook and contributed to many others on the practice of eyelid surgery. Conditions treated include cataract, ptosis (drooping lids), age related lid changes,  congenital malformation, cancers  and tumors in the periocular region, face and eyelid paralysis, thyroid related eye disease and blepharospasm, that is, involuntary eyelid closure.  His contributions have been presented at national, international and local meetings.  His experience spans 30 years and many thousands of cases.
